CTHINGS.CO CEO Arnold Wierzejski shares his journey from global corporations to founding his own startup, highlighting advancements in IoT and Edge Computing in a recent Forbes Polska feature.
Our CEO Arnold Wierzejski was recently featured in Forbes Polska, where he shared insights about his role as the owner and CEO of CTHINGS.CO, reflecting on his journey from working at world-renowned corporations to founding his own startup.
During his time at Samsung, Arnold applied his extensive knowledge of electronics, telecommunications, and computer science:
“It was a very interesting period. We optimized the radio protocol configurations of the latest smartphones when LTE networks entered the market. I traveled a lot around the world, visiting various Samsung satellite offices. It was hard for me to reconcile it with my studies, but at least I received the award for the best engineer in 2013,” Arnold said.
Discussing his decision to build his own company, Arnold stated:
“They say that at the end of your life you regret more what you didn't do than what you did wrong. It's a cliché, but it's true. That's why at some point I decided to try to build my own company. I wanted to create something important, […] respond to market needs that other companies could not meet.”
In the interview, Arnold also talked about the pivotal advancements in the IoT and Edge Computing, highlighting the transformative shift these technologies are experiencing:
“The Internet of Things and Edge Computing are undergoing a kind of renaissance," he continued, "The first wave of products of this type was based on closed data exchange standards, which meant that they could only communicate within specific technological systems and were unable to connect to solutions outside these silos. Even if these protocols were once well standardized and met the needs, in the age of development of artificial intelligence they are no longer operationally sufficient. That's why we're redefining these systems using third-generation network protocols. We offer a platform that allows a wide variety of devices to integrate simply, quickly and securely. And which can be used in various industries.”
Zbigniew Barwicz, co-founder and managing partner of Freya Capital, shared insights about his collaboration with CTHINGS.CO:
“CTHINGS.CO is one of the best Polish projects at the intersection of hardware and software. […] Arnold perfectly combines technological and sales competences, which very few people manage to do. He is methodical and pays attention to details. He is not afraid of hard work.”
