Discover how workstatt, one of Germany’s leading office solutions providers, partnered with CTHINGS.CO to transform traditional office spaces into intelligent environments.

Data-driven decision-making is key to building efficient, flexible, and sustainable office environments. One of Germany’s largest [Steelcase retailers](https://www.workstatt.de/products/steelcase-gesture-burostuhl), [workstatt](https://www.workstatt.de), recognized this shift early. As a leader in high-end office solutions, their next strategic move was to integrate smart technology for real-time space monitoring—ushering in the era of the self-optimizing office.

###### The Challenge: Smarter Spaces Through Data

[workstatt](https://www.workstatt.de) needed a robust solution to measure space occupancy and analyze usage patterns throughout the day. The goal? Improve office layout design, enhance energy efficiency, and create a more comfortable, productive environment. Crucially, this system needed to be scalable, secure, and seamlessly integrate with their existing digital infrastructure.

###### The Key Role of Orchestra

Designed as a centralized IoT platform, [Orchestra](https://cthings.co/solutions/orchestra) empowered workstatt to manage, monitor, and secure all their smart devices from one intuitive interface. With [Zero-Trust Networking](https://cthings.co/blog/orchestra-enhancing-cybersecurity-with-zero-trust) at its core, the platform ensured secure data handling—encrypting all communications and authenticating every device.

###### The Solution: Real-Time Insights with Seamless Integration

[CTHINGS.CO](https://cthings.co/) deployed [Edge IoT Gateways](https://cthings.co/products/edge-iot-gateways) that collected real-time occupancy data from workstatt’s office spaces. These gateways connected directly to [Orchestra](https://cthings.co/solutions/orchestra), streamlining everything from device onboarding to data analysis. Thanks to Orchestra’s features, such as [Containerized Application Lifecycle Management (CALM)](https://cthings.co/blog/the-future-of-industrial-operations-containerized-application-lifecycle), deployment was completed within minutes—eliminating disruptions and accelerating access to actionable insights.

###### The Result: A Future-Proof Smart Office

The outcome was clear: increased operational efficiency, reduced costs, and more intelligent use of space. Real-time asset tracking allowed businesses using workstatt’s platform to make smarter decisions on workspace allocation. The secure, scalable infrastructure laid a strong foundation for future expansion. As [workstatt](https://www.workstatt.de) shared:

> *“Working with CTHINGS.CO has been absolutely amazing and flawless… We were able to integrate it into our product in a matter of minutes.”*

###### Looking Ahead

The success of [workstatt](https://www.workstatt.de)’s transformation is just one example of how [CTHINGS.CO](https://cthings.co/) empowers integrators and businesses with scalable, future-ready IoT solutions. While smart office environments are one of many applications, our expertise spans across diverse sectors—from [smart cities](https://cthings.co/solutions/smart-infrastructure) and [Industry 4.0](https://cthings.co/solutions/clasp) to logistics, energy, and beyond.
